A fun day camp that helps young singers develop good vocal skills, cultivate musicianship, and nurture the joy of singing with others. Under the direction of experienced musical educators, students perform a concert for the community on the last day of camp.
Open to children ages 5–18.
$40.00 per child.
Meet Our Summer Singing Camp Instructors
Melissa McMillan is an experienced choral educator, having taught singers in public and private schools and directed church choirs. She desires to instill a love of music in others by working together to make excellent music for the glory of God. Having studied music at an early age, her formal education includes a Masters in Creative Arts in Learning from Lesley University and a Bachelor in Music Education degree from Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma). She and her husband Kirk are raising four energetic sons and are members of part of Faith Presbyterian Church in Tacoma. Melissa is the directs the choir of Covenant High School and FPC’s Choristers.
Sonia King holds a Bachelor’ degree in music and has been a voice teacher for the past twenty years. She has directed the Melodia Homeschool Choir (8 year olds to high school) for the past four years in Kitsap County, She is also youth choir director at Pilgrim Bible Church in Steilacoom, where she worships and serves with her family. Sonia and her husband Bill are homeschooling parents of seven sons and daughters.
